Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at the party?

You can expect to enjoy a relaxed social environment with music and laughter. During the art party session your artistic guide will lead you through the steps of completing the featured painting. And at the end of the party you will leave with your beautiful piece of art! The art party session will last between 2 1/2 - 4 hours depending on the session you choose to attend. (The approximate times of each session are listed in the session description on the reservations page).

What if I have never painted before? What if I am not artistically inclined?

No worries! Your artistic guide will be there to give you step-by-step instructions. You can do this! And have a great time in the process!

Do I need to reserve my seat in advance?

Yes. We have a limited number of seats, and a canvas has to be prepared for you in advance.

What is the cost?

Regular sessions are $35/person and last about 2-3 hours depending on the featured painting.

What is included?

We provide your easel, canvas, paint, brushes and aprons (but we do recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on). Your first beverage is also included!

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you show up 15 minutes prior to the start of your session. This will give you a chance to find your seat and socialize a little before we begin. Each session will begin at the exact start time to ensure that we have plenty of time to complete our paintings. Once the session begins it is very difficult, if not impossible, to catch up and it is not polite to ask other art party attendees to wait for you to arrive or catch up.

May I bring someone who is not painting to watch me while I paint?

Sorry, but no. Space is limited therefore we ask that you do not bring an observer unless you have a paid reservation for them. This includes small children; you will want to focus your attention on painting. 

Will I be able to take my painting home and will the paint dry before I leave?

You will be able to take your finished painting home with you! Our paint is fast drying acrylic that should be dry by the time you leave. If your paint is still damp we can provide you with plastic to set it on for the drive home. 

I have a Class Credit, how do I use it to register for a session?

Send us an e-mail or complete the contact us e-form with the following information: 1) Your name  2) How many seats you are reserving  3) The date and time of the session you would like to attend  4) Your phone number. 

When can I expect to see the next month's session calendar on the website?

We try to post the schedule for the upcoming month by the 15th of the current month. 

I missed a painting that I am really interested in painting!

Please send us an e-mail or complete the contact us e-form. We will try to get the painting added to the next month's calendar! 

Do you offer private group parties?

Yes! We offer private parties for birthdays, holiday celebrations, family reunions, team building, clubs & groups, fundraisers, bridal showers, baby showers, girl's night out and any other event you would like! You have the option of choosing a painting from the Art Parties by Kelly collection or working with us to create a painting specifically for your event! Also, each party attendee can paint the same painting and take their individual painting home or the group can paint one painting created on multiple canvases (example: baby shower - Art Parties by Kelly can create a painting based on the theme of the nursery and each party attendee can paint a 12" x 12" canvas that is part of the larger painting). Parties require a minimum of 12 people. The prices is $35/person. A deposit of $150 is required to reserve your party and payment is required in full the day prior to the party. There are no deposit refunds or transfers if you cancel your party 10 days or less prior to the scheduled party date. Please do not call and ask for an exception. The host will be responsible for providing any beverages and/or snacks.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because we have a limited number of seats to offer we ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. This provides us an opportunity to fill the space. Cancellations must be made by phone. If you cancel your reservation prior to 2 weeks before the event we can issue you a refund or credit on your next art party session. If you cancel your reservation prior to the 48 hours before the event we will provide you with a credit on your next art party session.  Unfortunately, there are no refunds or credit for cancellations made within the 48 hours before your scheduled art party session. Please do not call and ask for an exception.
